Martin – the Paradox of the Pitch doesn’t just ring true, it feels true. I always knew the art of pitching is good practiced storytelling after you’ve done the hard work. The trick is to make it look easy but there was always a missing piece to the pitching puzzle. Thank you for opening my eyes. The secrets to good pitching were truly revelatory.
One of these days I’m coming to this amazing retreat. If everyone else is like you, it will be the working trip of a lifetime.

p.s. you’ll need to grow a goatee for that much chin scratching
p.s.s. forgive any errors — I’m dyslexic and I’m sticking to that story

Martin – The Paradox of the Pitch – is entertaining, with amazing revelations of what to do and what not to do. When I first started out, having to stand in front of somone or someones to tell them my story idea, I was terrified. At the BEA (Book Expo America) in L.A. I talked with everyone who would walk by our book booth about my authors. I didn’t flinch. But, when I first heard that I’d have to pitch, I didn’t even know what a pitch meant, except in baseball. “What do you mean, PITCH?! I’m not an actor, I’m a writer! Why can’t they read what I wrote?” Wow, what a delivery of truth, humor, and the rules (I love the rules). The PITCH mystery is solved thanks to you, Martin! It would be lovely to meet you at a Rocaberti retreat and thank you in person, Martin!
